My June Favourites

Hey my lovely readers, how are you all doing?

The good response I received on my earlier post about ‘My May Favourites’ prompted me to continue writing about my favourites every month. June went pretty well staying at home, binge watching, giving my online tests, going for regular walks every evening, eating delightful dishes and most importantly – blogging. However, there were few things that grabbed my attention and gave me immense joy and a part of my favourites’ list. So as we welcome the new month, I’m sharing my June favourites with you all!

  1. Watching the Hollywood movie ‘Crawl’

I watched this movie ‘Crawl’ a few days ago on Amazon Prime and it really amazed me. Directed by Alexandre Aja, it’s a thriller film based on a father-daughter living in Florida who get trapped in their old house along with several alligators that suddenly emerge out of a nearly lake after a massive hurricane. The best thing I liked about the movie was the direction. I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. A must-watch film guys.

2.Experimenting with Hummus

The second thing I enjoyed the most was preparing Hummus (without tahini) at home along with mum. I must tell you, it does not take much time and is one of the easiest dips you can make at home. I relished it so much that I gobbled it all the same day. I recommend all of you to try it soon. The recipe is quite simple. All you need to do is, blend soaked and boiled chickpeas, garlic, lime juice and olive oil until smooth. Then add two tablespoon water and blend again to get the desired consistency. Season it with chilli flakes and serve with nachos. Enjoy.

  1. Shopping Eyebrow Epilator online

My third favourite of the month was this amazing beauty buy that I ordered due to obvious reasons – the lockdown. And I’m genuinely happy with its results. For all the women out there, if going to the salon is still uncertain in these times, then go online and buy an eyebrow epilator right away. Use it and get clean, glowing skin.

My Most Favourite Bloggers

6 Things that Inspire Me The Most

What comes to you mind when you speak of the word inspiration? Well, I think it is something that not only helps you in your growth and personal development but also helps you to keep moving forward despite the many obstacles that come in our way. Different things inspire different people. For me, the things that keep me inspired are:


It’s my favorite hobby. The only thing that I can never think of quitting ever. It makes me stay positive and also enlightens my mood. I love to dance a lot.

Song Lyrics

When I hear a song, I literally get lost in the lyrics. It is something that really makes me happy and helps me to keep moving in life.

My Family

No matter what happens, my family always supports me in good and bad times and also inspires me.


I love to travel a lot. I have been to many places such as Bali, Thailand and many more. Exploring new places always inspires me and keeps me in a good mood.


Every day and few hours a day I’m on this app. It’s a time suck, but keeps me inspired to do better work. I love seeing what others are doing in their daily lives.


I started blogging just a month ago but this is the one thing that really inspired me to write well and develop confidence in myself. I really love blogging.

Father’s Day is an opportunity to tell dad how much you appreciate him. A day to make an effort to let him know how much you love him and care for him. Meet the Blogger: A Rapid-fire Round

Hey my lovely readers. What’s up?

I started this blog only a month or two back! And maybe you are wondering. who I am, where I am from, what do I like, and having other such rational questions in your mind. I thought it would be fun to answer some questions, so you will get to know me a little more. So here I am, answering them all by way of a fun rapid-fire of the typical ‘meet the blogger’ round.

Let’s get started. 20 of them. Yikes… that’s a boatload but let’s try it.

  1. What made you start this blog?

Well honestly speaking, the main reason I started this blog was because I got extremely bored during lockdown. There was nothing to do except doing binge-watching the entire day. And one day, my mom (being a writer!) suggested that I should start blogging. I researched a little and soon realised that blogging was something that would help me pen my thoughts. And today, just a month later, I am in love with blogging.

2. What’s your blogging style?

I don’t really have a style but I like to express my opinion or suggestion on things. I love to blog about life and fashion.

3. What are your 3 favourite TV shows?

Friends, Riverdale,13 Reasons Why.

4. What’s the most beautiful place you have ever been?

Goa. It is the most beautiful and amazing place I have ever been to. It’s my all-time favourite.

5. What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat?

Eggplant. Yikes! I can never think of eating it.

6. What’s your favourite ice-cream flavor?

Easy. It’s Belgian Chocolate.

7. What’s your favourite saying that people hear you repeat over and over?

Well, my favourite lines are “So mean” and I say it almost every time I get irritated with something.

8. What’s your favourite day of the week?

Saturday. It’s the weekend and I get to stay up late and watch my favourite movies.

9. What is your favourite color?

I love Black.

10. Describe your family in one word.


11. When you are having a bad day what do you do to make yourself feel better?

I play the music and dance because these are the two things that make me happy.

12. What inspires you?

I find inspiration in random things such as an article or a song lyric, or a video maybe. However, the thing that inspires me the most is music.

13. What annoys you?

I get annoyed by silly things. Eg: if things don’t turn out my way. Or if someone says something wrong to me, I get easily annoyed.  

14. What type of music do you listen to? Or which is that song that you can hear over and over again?
I mostly listen to pop music or sometimes even hip hop. The song that I can hear over and over again is “Look what you made me do” by Taylor Swift. It’s my best song.

15. What’s your biggest fear?

A long haired girl haunting me through the television. Kidding, it’s actually fast rides.

16. If you could shop for free at one store, which one would you choose?

If I could shop for free I am guessing… I would go to Zara or H&M. In beauty I’d prefer Nykaa.

17. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Probably, somewhere near a beach.

18. If you can travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would love to visit Europe – I want to discover Paris, London, Italy, Greece, Miami, Germany.

19. Who would play you in a movie about your life?

I googled actresses with brown eyes and straight hair and I guess Shraddha Kapoor looks a bit like me! Would be a pretty boring movie though, hahaha.

20. Last but not the least, what do you do for fun?

There are several things that I do for fun face-time calls with friends, going out, shopping, click selfies and much more.

Mental Health Tips to Stay Strong

Hey guys, what’s up?  With the recent spate of celeb suicide incidents that has sent shock waves in our nation, we’re all confused and speechless. While suicide is definitely not a solution to problems in life, one point that comes to light here is the importance of mental health.

There are many people around who might look absolutely normal to us but are battling with depression deep down. In simple terms, they’re experiencing mental health trauma and are therefore unable to face personal or professional issues in life with a strong head.

Remember, however dark or long the tunnel is, there’s light at the end of it. The answer to mental health apart from clinical treatment is to stay positive in difficult times and have faith that things would only get better with time.

Here I share some vital tips for good mental health that should help you stay strong in life.

Garden in My Glass

Hey lovely people. June 13 is World Gin Day, and so I’m dedicating today’s blog post to gin, the favourite liquid of many. Let’s celebrate!

The idea for this post germinated with an email that I came across a few days back about how this day got started and why is it celebrated. So here I am sharing it all with you, along with a few gin recipes.

Celebrated since 2009, World Gin Day is always the second Saturday in June, founded by Neil Houston and Emma Stokes, great gin connoisseurs, we can’t thank them enough!

Gin cocktails have become the talk of town today. Its citrusy, spicy blending notes are making cocktail experiences thrive and get-togethers more memorable. Whether a classic concoction or as a cocktail, this day is all about enjoying our favourite liquid.

This World Gin Day, let’s raise a toast to gin! Be your own bartender and enjoy this botanical marvel with unique concoctions that refine your taste buds.

Presenting some favourite fluids:

Classic Tanqueray & Tonic


 50 ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin

150 ml Indian Tonic Water

Method: Fill a large wineglass with ice. Pour in Tanqueray and tonic water. Stir well. And finally, garnish with a fresh citrus slices. You can choose from oranges, lemon, lime or even musambi.

Mango & Gin


45 ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin

150 ml Tonic

30 ml Mango juice 

2 mint sprig

1 Star Anise

2 pieces Raw Mango

Method:  Add the gin and mango juice to a glass and stir. Then tap the mint sprig and add the star anise. Fill the glass with crushed ice, top it up with tonic and stir well. In the end, garnish with Mint Sprig and Raw Mango. Your drink is ready.

Berried Tanqueray


60 ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin

30 ml Cranberry juice

10 ml Lime juice

60 ml Tonic

60 ml Soda

1 Fresh Thyme

Method Add gin to a glass, along with cranberry juice and lime juice. Tap the thyme, fill the glass with ice, top it up with tonic, soda and stir well. Garnish with a thyme sprig.

Pro Tip: You could also freeze some berries and flowers from your garden in ice and add it to make #GardeninMyGlass

How to Keep Yourself Away from a Sedentary Lifestyle

Being a couch potato. Not exercising. A sedentary or inactive lifestyle. You have probably heard of all of these phrases, and they mean the same thing: a lot of sitting and lying down, with very little to no exercise.

While under normal circumstances, you may have been doing your best to stay active but now that we are all stuck indoors, how does one avoid the couch at all? Well, don’t worry because if you are looking to combat that sedentary lifestyle, here are some tips to avoid it.

Stay on Your Feet

Walk around the house and try to keep yourself busy during the day as much as possible. Staying busy can help in preventing a sedentary lifestyle during the lockdown. 

Workout at Home

Being at home isn’t any excuse to skip exercise. There are a variety of celebrity-recommended routines on YouTube and Instagram which are available for free. So whether it’s yoga or dance fitness, pick your poison to sweat it off.

Talk and Work Standing

The next time you receive a phone call, speak while standing. When working from home, set your laptop or desktop on an elevated platform so that you can work standing up for a short span of your work day.

Stay Busy

Keep yourself engrossed in some activity as the moment we are bored we tend to turn to the couch or the bed. We all have lists of things that we put away due to our daily schedules, this is the right time to pull out those lists and get cracking.


Being constantly confined at home can be mentally exhausting and it is important to relax your mind and nurture your mental health as well. Take out a few minutes in the day for some silent introspection.

I would like to say that it is definitely a time of difficulty and uncertainty for all of us, but somethings are under our control and that is our health and well-being. So whatever the situation is, try to stay active and safe.
